Sitting in my kayak, watching these ripples and waves in the water as they created a distorted refletion of the rocks, trees and foliage on the shore, I pondered how we often have a distored perception of ourselves - we look in the mirrow and see a different reality than what is actually there.  It caused me to be more mindful of the reflections I "see" in my mirror, and the self-talk in my mind.
